Working to make our
children’s lives safer

About us

The Doncaster Safeguarding Children Partnership is a statutory body consisting of senior representatives across all partner agencies and organisations working together to safeguard children and young people in Doncaster.

Nothing is more important to the DSCP than a child’s welfare. Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, stable, and loving home. Children who need help and protection deserve high quality and effective support.

Working Together 2023 has provided up to date guidelines detailing how partner agencies and organisations should work with children, young people and families where they can protect children from abuse, neglect and exploitation. Many of the organisations involved have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.

Doncaster will soon publish their Multi-agency Safeguarding Arrangements (MASA) which will highlight robust arrangements which ensure that information is shared effectively, the risk of harm is correctly identified and understood and that the children, young people and families receive targeted services that meet their needs in a co-ordinated approach.

The DSCP Website has lots of information about safeguarding and support available  for all whether you are working with or living with children or if you are a child or young person looking for guidance and support.

If you have any suggestions about improvements to this site, or are unable to find information you are looking for, please contact us at dscp@doncaster.gov.uk
